Comprising of a beautiful manse, guildhall and various outbuildings this property in the Scottish Borders around 45 miles South of Edinburgh contains many charming features to entertain any stone mason.
Our team undertook large scale repointing as well as stone replacement to the house and outbuildings.
Difficulty arose when removing the tough cement pointing having been applied deeply into the mortar joints. Extreme care had to be taken not to damage the masonry and retain the character of the building.
