Dry Stone Walling / Dyking

Drystone walling or dyking can be used to build structural functional elements such as walls, piers and bridges or entirely decorative features from sculptural elements to fire pits.

Working on large and small commissions and repairs over many years we have developed a wide range of experience and knowledge which we enjoy utalsing on drystone work.

Weather forming entranceway’s, walled driveways, retaining walls, pillars, steps, seats, tables, drystone BBQ’s, drystone bridges the only limitation is the imagination.

Extensive renovation work carried out to walled garden, including replacement coping, re-point and replacement bricks where necessary to match existing.
Very pleased with the work carried out by TJ Ferris. From the beginning, Thomas was very helpful, which made the decision process easy and the end result is excellent.
Costs were slightly above the original estimate but I believe they were honest in their approach and would not hesitate to use again.

Tom and his team recently finished a number of stone and building repairs at my house and I cannot recommend them enough. The job was complex yet Tom and his team provided me with a comprehensive estimate and plan which was followed through keeping us in budget. The craftsmanship was first class and Tom’s team were professional, courteous and tidy throughout. I could not be more happy with the job.

Thomas was very responsive to what I wanted in terms of working with various pieces of old stone which I wanted to recycle as paving slabs around a lawn. Reliable and very pleasant and easy to communicate with. Stone looks great and I am very pleased with the work. No hesitation to recommend and I am hoping to use him again for another project.

Excellent quality work. Very polite. Good communication. Not the cheapest, but you get what you pay for. Has done two jobs for us now and next time we need stone work done he’ll be first on our list to do it.
